The following Core Values drive our Student Ministry, guiding everything that we do. We want to be a Student Ministry that is…
Biblically Based - The Bible is the backbone of our ministry. As our final authority for faith and life the Scriptures are our ultimate curriculum for teaching and our decisive guide for godly living and effective ministry.
God Glorifying - We never want to settle for being a ministry that merely provides entertainment, behavior modification, or a social hangout for adolescents. The goal of every aspect of our ministry is to bring glory and honor to God by helping youth grow into fully devoted disciples of the Lord Jesus Christ.
Student Led - We believe that a Student Ministry will be stronger in the short-term and more effective in the long-term if it is led by godly students who take ownership of their faith and actively minister to their peers with the guidance and support of trained adult staff.
Growing DEEP and Expanding WIDE - We want our Student Ministry to grow. Primarily, we want our students to develop a deep, mature, and personal faith. Secondarily, we want our ministry to expand numerically as our committed students reach their peers with the Gospel and we see lives changed and new members join our ministry.
Worship Centered - The lives of Believers should be characterized by worship and praise. We want to provide students with corporate opportunities to worship God in spirit and in truth, and to encourage them to cultivate their own commitment to a system of private worship.
Prayer Empowered - We believe that prayer is essential to an effective and faithful ministry; therefore, prayer is a priority within every facet of our ministry.
Relationally Focused - We believe that the best way to reach people with the Gospel and to help them grow in Christ is within the context of relationships. Our Adult Leaders serve as Christ-like examples for our students to follow, and we strive to create an environment where students can care for and share their lives with one another.
Service Oriented and Community Engaged - We want to help students use their God-given gifts, talents, and abilities to build up the church, serve those in need, and share the Gospel with others. We want our Student Ministry to make an impact in our community beyond the four walls of our church
Purpose Driven - Every program, activity, and decision of our Student Ministry is guided by and seeks to fulfill our biblical purposes: Fellowship, Discipleship, Worship, Service, and Evangelism.
High Energy - Living with, in, and for Jesus Christ is exciting and fulfilling. We try to bring a level of enthusiasm and energy to all of our activities that reflects this aspect of new life in Christ.
Family Friendly - We seek to partner with families in the spiritual care of their adolescents, always recognizing the primary role and responsibility of parents in the raising of their children. It is our desire to strengthen and affirm families through the programs and activities of our ministry.
Safety Conscious - Caring for God’s children is an extremely high calling and privilege; therefore, the physical, emotional, and spiritual safety of students is a top priority for our ministry.
