MINISTRIES

Children's Ministries exists to develop children spiritually through ministries that fulfill the purposes of evangelism, worship, fellowship, discipleship, and service. Through a variety of ministries, the Children's Ministry area strives to introduce children to a saving knowledge of Jesus Christ and to help them grow. All of our volunteers who work with children are carefully screened.

The following ministries are ministering to children at FBFC:

AWANA Ministry

(Children grades K-6) Wednesdays 7:00-8:40PM

Our Awana program has been operating for over 25 years and is one of the best in the county. The children in our clubs have an exciting time together under the supervision of trained and caring adult leaders. The weekly program is centered on three major components. Each Awana meeting includes high-energy age appropriate games. Clubbers will also work through their individual handbooks at their own learning pace. The clubs then gather for a council time, which includes a very understandable and applicable Bible story or lesson.

The Awana program annually sponsors a number of special events for the clubbers. There might be a Crazy Hair Night or Bring a Buddy Night. There's also Adopt-A Club where clubbers raise money for other Awana clubs who may not have the money to purchase uniforms and supplies; Grand Prix where clubbers construct model cars from kits and race them; and Awana Games and Sparks-A-Rama where clubbers compete in team and individual games with other Awana clubs. Awards are presented to clubbers in a variety of ceremonies for the work they've done in their handbooks.

Children's Church Ministry

(Children age 2 - grade 6) Sundays during 10:45am worship service

The children may go to the regular worship service with their families or they can go to an age appropriate worship environment called Children's Church. We believe that Children's Church should be fun, informative and relational for the children.

Children's Events Ministry

Special events that are fun and exciting are planned during the year for children to help them form friendships with other children and provide opportunities for them to serve others.

Children's Sunday School Ministry

(Children age 2-grade 6) Sundays 9:00 - 10:15AM

Our children's Sunday School time begins with the kids coming together for singing and prayer. They then move into grade level classes where they learn Bible stories and concepts to help them in their walk with God. Our teachers are experienced and concerned for the welfare of each individual child.

Nursery Ministry

(Children age 0-1) Sundays 9:00AM -12 Noon

Our nursery is available during Sunday School and worship services. The nursery staff will take exceptional care of your children. The nursery staff provides pagers for parents upon request.

Vacation Bible School Ministry

Vacation Bible School is a week long program that takes place every July with the purpose of providing an exciting time of games, crafts, snacks, Bible lessons and drama presentations. Every VBS week has a different theme.
