IT'S HERE
Awana will begin its 29th year of ministry to area children on Wednesday September 8th at 7 pm. Will your "missionary vehicle" be loaded with children, K - 6, who need to meet the Lord and be trained to serve Him? We have a staff of about 80 certified volunteers who are excited to be able to share the Gospel with them. Parents are asked to complete the pre-registration form that has been mailed to them and then send it with their children on Wednesday to facilitate registration. A three-week Awana training class will begin at 9 am on Sunday, September 12 in room 207 for those who have not yet been certified by Awana to serve as leaders or for those who are just interested in learning more about this special ministry.
*AWANA - INSTITUTING A NEW POLICY THIS YEAR
Awana is instituting a new policy beginning Wednesday night to improve safety conditions for both clubbers and leaders. Effective this week, parents and drivers will be required to come into the foyer or Family Life Center to pick up their children or riders. Clubbers will not be dismissed from the building until the parent or driver comes in to meet them. Awana generally ends at 8:40 and clubbers should be picked up at that time. Parents are encouraged to also attend the closing council time at 8:30 and then pick-up their children there. This would aid in implementing this new policy and would help avoid confusion at the close of Awana. Thank you for helping us provide a safer environment for our clubbers.
FAMILY HARVEST FESTIVAL DONATIONS NEEDED!
